expansion bottle or plug for main radiator ?!?! help

am running 2.0 turbo in my beetle and am at the radiator stage. My main rad core will be 450mm wide and 395mm high and 64 mm thick. Got from a company called advacned radiators in tyne and wear and they can manufacture rads of any dimension. This is quite a big rad and has been fabricated for extra 10-15% cooling and i have to decide if there is the need to have an expansion bottle from the bleed valve or not?
one school of thought is that I can simply plug the radiator witha special plug and ommit the expansion bottle.
the other option is to nip down the breakers and pick one up and fabricate a place in my bonnet to store this so it os higher than the radiator.. obviously if this is not necessary i will not do this so your opinions would be valued as my budget is gettin streeeeeeeeeeeeetched..

i would go for the expansion bottle ,, advanced radiators ,is that one for the fag packet

dont use the type25 expansoin bottle without the small bleed off tank ,

advanced radiators are good.. not the very cheapest but will fabricate exactly what you want made to measure with a swift turnaround..
an update looks like im gonna store an expansion bottle in the rear of the car top right of engine opposite side to turbo where there is room and run a 6mm small pipe from the rad to the rear..
exactly why its has to be located next to the engine maybe ricola can explain better than myself?!?!

What sort of money is your custom rad, I am thinking of having a tall/slim rad made up for my type 2.

hi mate,

rad has cost me £175 + VAT however they stock the complete range of production rads so if you can find a model that suits your dimensions then this will be cheaper still...

The subaru exspansion tank is located next to the engine purely because the turbo cooling return connects directly it
