| Hi. My name is Nicky. I have a 67 split. IRS conversion. I currently have a 2.0 forrester engine with a freeway flyer box. Sitting on 165/80/15. I have seen a pair of 3.5” x 16” rims for sale. Was thinking of purchasing these and hopefully putting a pair of 80/16 tyres on. This should make the gearing a little longer and more top speed. The engine can easily take this.!! My question is how much wider is the 3.5” compared to 165 ? Will they fit on the van clearance wise and will it make much difference??? For what it’s going to cost is it going to be worth it?? Your thoughts would be greatly received. I’m working away from home atm so can’t get under the van to compare the to 15’s!! |
