Hi all,
When I take my ej22 powered bus camping it dies when pulling away , sometimes with a misfire in damp conditions. As the engine is not getting wet in the engine bay I am at a loss of what the cause could be ? I have a cone filter in front of the Maf could the damp on the maf be causing this ?. I am planning to change this for a filter box with paper element. Can anyone recommend one that is a good fit? _________________ HMMM, dont know yet, but i'll have a go!!!! |

Unplug the maf and try to drive it.
Yes you will log a fault code but if it doesn’t do it you’ve got your problem. Should this be the problem check out the video on repairing a Nissan 300zx MAF.
I have a similar problem. Cold start, it starts but is a pig to get move once the clutch comes up and needs lots of revs. Drive it all day long and occasionally get a hesitation with occasion moderate throttle adjustment.
I’ve checked plugs
Injector connectors.
Changed coil packs
Changed O2 senso (has improved)
Not got round to stripping my MAF yet but that’s my next culprit. These MAF’s get dry solder joins internally. _________________ Think......
