filling the oil in a bay window bus with no top access hatch

I'm 90% finished the VW 1.9D conversion into a previously 1600 bay window bus. It's the engine and box conversion I took out of my van when I went TDI. My van has the over-engine access hatch in the rear luggage area. I used to just pop-off the crank case ventilation valve on the cam cover and fill through that hole but I have no access to it now in this new bus.

I'm thinking I might have to resort to removing the dipstick and pushing a pipe on over the top of the dipstick tube and fill it from a funnel unless anyone else has a clever solution?

Maybe try welding a plate into the sump to accept an oil filler tube like the T25 1.9 diesel "wedge sump"?

Well the van is gone back to its owner now but afterwards I was thinking a better way would be to delete the crank vent pipe from the side of the block up to the valve on the cam cover and make a pipe to weld to the plate that would cover that hole.
