|
|
the first evening of 2016 in the garage didn't go well: I arrived at my friends garage where my project is to find it had been ransacked - thankfully both our vehicles were still there but I lost a Clarke top box and a load of tools and he lost whole lot more stuff.
Of most interest is my Subarugears reverse crown wheel and pinion set which cost me £1500 the chances are the c**** that robbed us will have no idea what this is but took it cos it's in a pretty little flight case thinking its a power tool. These rarely / never come up for sale second hand so if you see , hear or get offered a set for cheap or even not for cheap let me know. It is likely the kit will be missing the gear knob.
Thanks for your help and vigilance

Oh that's a disaster.
We'll keep an eye on eBay etc.
Would the thieving scum know what it is. ?
As in, would he know what to advertise it as? |

Thanks guys - it is indeed a total disaster !!
It is all the more annoying that they won't know what it is - they nicked it because they thought it was a power tool in a handy flight case type box the only thing on the box is the Subaru gears sign no other info so if the search it up they could find out and will either eBay it or sling it in the nearest hedge.its not likely to get them much in the pub or at cash converters! They will prob just list it as Subarugears
Anyhow I'm gona claim what little I can back on insurance and take the hit and get on with the bus - if anything it has spurred me on to get it done and mobile and out of there! |
