Thats what i thought, i have been reading stuff on internet and people are talking about mistaking the ecu noise and saying its the fuel pump. But this sounds like its inside the van. Its like a fizzling buzz type of sound.

This is a EG33 conversion that has the noises, my other van has early 90s EJ22 and that is quiet .

Use the shaft of a long screwdriver against your ear and place it on different components where the noise is coming from to pin point what it is. It will probably be fuel pump.
