Hi, I have a 1974 VW Bay 1800 cc type 4 that I am converting to run a ej22 2.2l N/A Subaru engine.1998
As I have the fuel pump already could I convert the bay tank or would there be any known problems ?
I'm sure I saw a photo somewhere on a website but forgot to save it .

Yes either weld the Subaru fuel pump into the top of the bay tank or modify the bay tank to have a 12mm outlet feeding a Bosch 044 pump.

Hi

Didn't you get late bays with EFI where you are? You could just use a tank from one of them, they used an external pump but had a return line and built in surge section?

What's the reason that the outlet needs to be 12mm when the Subaru supply line is 8mm?
