I have a karmann ghia with a subaru na ej20

it is running okay except for for one issue . . .

no2 injector works at higher revs than tickover especially when on choke/cold circuit

when normal idle comes on then the injector no longer works

i disconnect the injector connector no change in engine note

if i swap the connector over to the adjacent cylinder that injector fails to work, so the fault moves with the connector

there is 12volts+ at the injector connection on the live feed

the other yellow wire is connected to earth - checked for continuity

i traced the live from the injector back to the ecu, just in case the wiring failed to make the right connection on the ecu - all okay there

so iam at a loss

i have replaced the spark plugs, leads, coil for an oem lucas one , even got a new set of injectors

any ideas?

i would appreciate any help however small - many thanks Happy

Injector plug pin not connecting when connector is plugged in. The pin pushing the socket out of the connecter holder.

Push the injector connector on and push the wires into the back of the connector.

Try putting an LED test light or mutli meter on the 2 plugs to see if it flashes, should be 12 volt one side and an ECU earthing pulse the other side, if no flash put the test light to 12 volt like your battery connection on the alternator, if still no flash go back to the ECU connector
