Bought a Fellows short sump couple years ago when starting the conversion (been restoring the bus) Now turning my attentions to the engine (ej20) for a break. Need to shorten the pickup pipe, not sure what material it is? Should I weld, braze or what? Also read stories of the pipe cracking where its bolted to the engine....So, instead of welding etc back together could I insert the pipe in a suitable tight fitting rubber tube and clamped tight? This would allow some flex?
Just a thought...What are your thoughts?
Cheers Tim |
