2001 Legacy MAF Sensor

May seem like a strange question but Legacy 2001 is it right to have no MAF Sensor

I picked up donor car today and it starts and runs fine but part way through stripping i have noticed no MAF

I cant start it now as have the harness out but its definately not there

The EJ251 is a MAP sensor motor, which is what that year Legacy should have.

Check the LH VIN plate or the barcode sticker on the timing belt cover for the motor type.
