Had a search but cant really find out... Putting a ej20 into a late bay with a a fellows lowered sump, whats a sensible height to lower it by? Im thinking couple of inches would be ok, do I use lowered spring plates or just turn the original spring plates a spline .Going for a red9 coil over up front...when ive saved some pennies

I would say 1 outer spline is sensible, 2 is low, 3 s madness :-) however it is a matter of opinion and will depend how much sag the back of your van has to start with, the weight you will carry and how heavy your interioi is etc. I wouldn't bother buying adjustable plates really since its so easy to lower the std suspension. Especially since fitting them will require you to do the same amount of work as lowering.

Thanks, that what I was thinking. I meant to say rad was up front so just have to worry about sump clearance really. Didn't want to spend £180-220 when I can just turn to springplate
