| hi had my 94/95 wrx subaru in my t25 for about 3yrs now and its been fine.. last few days been hard to start and today wouldnt.also when you switch ignition on the rad fan comes on??.if you crank long enough it tries to fire ..did OBD test on it and its come up with coolant temp sender and throttle position sensor..would the throttle position sensor stop it from starting?? is there any way to check it is this too?? and would a faulty coolant sensor make fans cut in?? thanks.. |

not that I have ever checked this, however I had heard throught the grapevine that should the coolant temperature sensor fail it will fire up the radiator fans as a saftety precaution. one day I'll stick my hand in ther and pull the sucker off and check this theory.
not sure about the throttle position sensor, have you got the 1995 engine repair manual? this would be covered in there with a procedure to check it with a multimeter, its a very handy book and would certainly give you a avenue to expore.
Your failing to start could also be due to knackered coil packs too should you still be running the originals. im guessing here however it is a common fault with a phase one motor. _________________ Think......
