The PVC will not be attacked by the brake fluid as many of the bottles that brake fluid is fupplied in are PVC. I doubt that the suppliers will fluon coat bottles at this price.
The pressures in the clutch pedal are nowhere as high as brakes. The Austin Montegeo had a PVC clutch pipe line if I remember correctly. I had one of these in a Series 2A Land Rover for 15 years running a Montegeo TD conversion.
however Is it worth the effort when any flexible brake hose will do a better job for £3 |

I've got an explanation for the level sinking in the test hose. The hose is softened up a bit and that makes it going from oval to perfect round - volume increase.
Next gearbox upgrade (VAG 012) which happens pretty soon I will use PVC hose. |

I've marked the level every now and then since it sank a bit the first days, mostly because of airbubbles that releases.

Remember my hose test?
It is still ongoing.
The hose is fresh and alive.

Has it dropped much since the original shrinkage?
It's this kinda stuff that makes this forum what it is

Yeah, I'll make a new post in three years.
The level has been steady for the last two years. I still think the initial shrinkage was the hose that got more circular. The PVC is super fresh. |
