i hope people dont mind me bumping this thread to introduce myself.
i have a 1979 t2 devon moonraker with an AAZ conversion. after some initial teething issues its now running ok, but still gets too hot at times.
i will get some pics up, but the radiator is mounted in the engine bay and im looking to move it to a fake spare wheel at the front
can i ask the OP how his system is running?
do i need to add an extra water pump? where is the expansion tank located now?
any tips you can offer?
thanks

pahahahar! You know me too well JP lol! Laugh Out Loud Sorry for my late reply I've been hiding under a rock, watching all that free porn, for the past 6 weeks lol!

But to answer your question the system is working 100% since fitting it. I havent touched it once and have used the van all through the summer on some pretty hot days too! And my radiator was a pretty naff 2nd hand one so if you fitted a new one i dont think the fan would ever come on lol!

Best think I ever did to my van! I messed around for years with engine mounted rads and never really had satidfactory results, but the front rad is great!

No extra water pumps needed either, mines got a ford 1.8TD (Just finished the turbo install! Grin) And the standar pump works just great!

Hope that helps! And other info you need just ask!

cheers alex.
glad to hear its working well. ur bus looks great
im going to source the parts needed over the next week and get it sorted before i neeed a new engine head.
just one question - have u managed to keep the expansion tank higher that the radiator height and still keep it in the engine bay? or is it up front?

cheers

Yer I've put my expansion tank in the rear locker inside the van above the engine compartment so its nice and high and above the rad.
