Hello all,

First some introduction I'm almost 37years old and living with my wife and daughter (6months) in the Netherlands. I'm a vw-fan for almost 20years, i droved beetles, typeIII (fastback, notch and squarebacks) this is my first van. Bought it in 2009 from ebay-usa and updated along the way.

See my threat here for all the details:
http://forum.earlybay.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=21827

Some futures are Porsche 944 brakes all around, power steering, custom interior and updated camping interior (cooking stove, gas/220/12 fridge)

Done a Wasserboxer notchback in the past and now it's time for some Subaru Turbo power..................... My Westy is going S-Turbo.

I've bought a 2000 Forester with front damage, EJ205 engine, 150.000km on the clock. The plan is to install this with the original 5-speed(reversed) gearbox.

The plan is to collect parts and start the build when engine, loom, gearbox and all the small stuff are inn and detailed.
Rough plan is winter 2013 for the big switch. Now some photo's:

Kind regards from Holland, mycha

THANKS,

The bevel box is T25/T3 with Peugeot 106 pomp and a Vauxhall (rhd) steering rack.

Yesterday evening was demolition time Grin Cleaned up the front, all the bent metal is away, i can now pull the engine out from the front !!!

First up is to replace all the broken parts and let the engine run. I hope the valves etc. are fine. I have to replace the timing belt and bearings. When the engine is ok a friend will do the wiring-loom and i will pull the engine, gearbox, gas tank and everything that is useful.

Parts that need replacing:

Timing belt kit;
Canister;
Left exhaust Pulley;
Timing belt covers;
repair or chance oil heat exchanger;

Greetings Mycha

HI Mycha

for the timing belt cover , I 'll have a set in carbon if you want , I ll send you pictures if you want when I'll receive mine......

You need to check and change some parts on the flywheel side, the plate at right , the flywheel joint, and some small rubber joint at the screw for checking the rod
