hi all, i've got a 2.0lt n/a scooby with a 1600cc gearbox in my bay and i'm looking to buy a T4 trailer conversion for my business. My question is will the bay be up to towing it? not sure of the weight i guess 1100 kg? i've got standard front discs and drum rear what do you guys think??

personally i would upgrade the brakes - my van struggles to stop itself when fully loaded, let alone with a heavy trailer pushing it along.

sounds heavy at 1100kg for a trailer - is it braked?

not to dampen youre enthusiasm but you would probably be able to get a pukka ifor williams box trailer for similar money to a T4 trailer which is subject to scene tax. The ifor would be lightweight, and braked.

i've been through similar thoughts with fancy trailers behind my bay for when i go to shows, but the amount of big stuff i seem to sell i bit the bullet and bought a T4 panel van as a daily driver.

I've had a rethink and your right bit too heavy. So looked at the dub box but that's a cool 5.5k bare. Maybe I'll just have to save my penny's.
