I have purchased the Renault UN1 into T25 kit from busprojekte.de. The problem right now is that the mount in the leading edge of the gearbox is placed a bit further down than the bracket on a standard T25 gearbox and this of course makes the UN1 box end up too high in the car. To fix this problem I have to make a U-shaped bracket in 6mm steel with holes in the ends that will be welded on the busprojekte gearbox carrier above the holes where it is ment to be fitted (but makes the gearbox end up too high) to make the gearbox end up in a posision that I am comfortable with.

What I want is if someone that have a VW T25 standard gearbox (preferably an AAP or AAR but a four speed, automatic or from an air cooled car would prabably have the same dimensions) but it must come from a 2wd boxer engined car, a syncro or a diesel gearbox is different and probably a South African gearbox as well.

I want you to put the gearbox horisontally on a flat surface and then measure the vertical distance from the floor (or table or work bench) to the center of the input shaft.

Then measure the vertical distance from the floor to the center of the mounting hole to the bolt holding the gearbox in the bracket on the gearbox leading edge.

I want the difference between this measurements (in millimeters) and I also want to know witch of the input shaft and the mounting hole that is above the other.

Thanks in advance! /Eric
