First time I've noticed this thread - looks like an epic amount of work on the body / chassis
Looking forward to more updates

| Cheers Rich, epic is right, been a right slog, wish I'd started with a better one to be honest, but hey ho at least I know its all been done right. Past that now though, onto the fun stuff now. Cooling system is sorted now and I'll be having a stab at getting it running at the weekend! |

She runs!! Had a good weekend at the lockup with a couple of mates.
On Sat I filled up the cooling system, connected the ignition switch up, mounted the battery, rigged up a tempory fuel pump and tank and turned the key.
Took about 30 seconds of cranking before it went but now it starts instantly. I've got a video of the first time it fired up, just need to find out how to post it up here.
Had one or two to many celebratory drinkies on Sat eve so didn't quite get time today to get the driveshafts back on and actually drive properly but nearly there.
We did manage to get the clutch and gear linkage hooked up without the driveshafts though. Although linkage needs some some adjustment it seems as though all gears are selectable and it appears I'm getting drive in all of them. So with a bit more luck it should be drivable within a week or so.
You're not wrong it is an awesome feeling hearing it run! |

Major breakthrough.
Try opening a free photobucket account.
Short video will upload easy enough.
Or even put up a YouTube vid.
Great news it runs. |

Cheers guys, still chuffed to bits with how easy it fired up.
Here's the vid (thanks Split),
Superleggo, I've got to admit that wiring was a major factor in my decision to go with the zetec. I've got a pic somewhere taken I'd stripped the Mondeo, I'd removed the whole loom, every last wire and it scared the hell out of me seeing it there piled up on the floor. Stick with it though mate as it will be an awesome conversion when you're done. The work you've put in on the bellhousing is top notch and that's got to be the hardest part. |

Cheers guys, unfortunatly snow stopped play this weekend and I still am yet to drive my van.
jp - it did occur to me that I was a bit of an old timer on here in that respect (if a little absent at times) looks as if I was the 12th member Sure you'll be up and running in no time mate. |
