Hi guys and gals,
Regrettably I’m having to sell my van
LHD
VW
T25 transporter
Manual
Air-cooled
2.0l cu petrol
Black
Windows all round
Milage – 149905 km
I’m looking for £1,780 ono
I bought this van about 6 months ago to convert into a camper to drive around Europe ready for next summer, and unfortunately now I’ve had a change of circumstance, I lost my job and cant afford to do it. I had planned to drop a diesel engine in the van as its ideal for a conversion, but I cant afford to do any of this having lost my job. so I need to sell her as I have a mini I’m currently restoring as well and cant afford them both anymore, I’ve held on for as long as I can but sadly its time to let her go.
So its been sat on my drive for a couple months now, I bought it from a guy in Newquay who used it as a bit of a camper but it was never fully kitted out inside, so I had planned to finish he job.
I’ve started stripping out all of the inside ready to deep clean her.
The brakes are solid, not a problem there, the disc covers could do with replacing tho, look a bit tatty now.
The body work is solid, there are a few little dinks and dents, but nothing really that noticeable. it’s a good van for its ages, and the miles its done, Its originally from Germany, then made its way to Spain where it was then brought over to the UK. I have the certificates for its migration. It once belonged to a Spanish mechanic, (who by the looks of the original stickers was a car aircon specialist) so was well looked after and the underneath is solid. Its been on many trips, between Wales and Cornwall and down to Spain and back twice.
I drove the van from Newquay to Nuneaton (near Birmingham) and it was a good drive, goes nicely. Could do with a little tuning I think, but nothing major as far as I know.
She’s a bit thirsty being the 1.9 petrol.
There is also a corroded hole in the top of the fuel tank, so you cant put anymore than £30 in at a time from what I remember. She hasn’t been running for a while. I’ve had both the leisure battery and the engine battery out for reconditioning, but I’m confident she’ll start up again with some fuel in her.
There is no mot on the van at the moment or road tax so would have to be taken away on a trailer.
The van comes with a few extras:
A couple of rectangular spotlights mounted on the front.
2 sets of wheels, one set of alloys and one set of steel, (the reason it has the mix and match is because one tyre in the set of steel wheels has a puncture and one wheel in the set of alloys has a puncture in it)
Spare wheel
Rock’n’rolla bed
Laminate flooring
Little roof hatch
Brown leather door cards matching seats in front
The panel boards inside were quite tatty so I got my mate who’s a graffiti writer to tart them up for me.
Some good sounding x-pod speakers are mounted on the inside of the front doors.
Hand full of papers and original manual
Tow bar
Rear and side windows have a mirrored finish
petrol run heater that’s fed from the main fuel tank
I have the V5 here
Will consider any offers.
I have been as honest as possible, don’t hesitate to ask me any questions or request further photos.
I’m based in Nuneaton,
