I am putting a 2.2l in my '77 Bay Window bus and i have my radiator already built and my Spal 13" fans mounted. The only thing I don't quite understand is how do I wire them up to run by themselves off of a separate sender coming from one of the coolant lines? Thanks

Your ecu should be controlling the radiator fans. The ecu provides a ground signal to activate a relay which will activate the fan. There is already a coolant temperature sensor on your block (it's located on the coolant manifold underneath the inlet manifold)

However if you want to construct a stand alone system then you will need to get some type of Thermo switch for you to install into the coolant line.

I would like to run a stand alone system. I have my ECU/wiring done so that I don't have to run the fans off of the ECU. I purchased a 195 degree sensor for my fans. I will be adding them into a radiator adapter that has a threaded hole for the sensor.

Will the 195 degree sensor be good enough for the radiator and 2 fans? Or will the fans kick on all the time? Should I bump it up to a 210 degree sensor?

95 degree C is the base for the fan, so that's 203 in F.
That's manifold temp not Rad temp
