Here There s always 30/35 degree .I think that I need to place scoops behind the rads. A friend of me who have a subaru shop (http://www.racealtered-import.com/) say to me that his impreza go always at 90 degree and I don t pass the 100 .
I can fit another rads(a small and long one)at the rear of the bus ,i have 2 exit pipes on the water pump

Would this work in a '77 westfalia? I'm thinking of running this cooling system. Let me know what you think.

I have a bit of a question. I recently chanced across something in a Gregory's manual that says the weird temperature sensor thing on my manifold / coolant crossover pipe is a thermo switch for a fan. Is there any reason i should continue using my adjustable one which is theoretically set to the same temp as the sensor anyway?

Photo?

Subaru designed the coolant system with:
1/ Temperature sensor
2/ VSS

These 2 are related.
At low speeds (via VSS) the ECU tells the fan(s) to start up at a lower temperature than at a higher speed.

I have posted a table from the manual on here - it was a fair few years ago though

the manifold has two temperature sensors. One for the dash gauge and one for the ECU, neither of them directly control the radiator fan (the ECU does)...

RatCamper has a carbed EA81 engine, its only an on/off sensor and I would let sleeping dogs lie if your external one is working fine.
