just asking this question because i have an engine starting problem. my subaru ej20 n/a has an ecu with 3 plugs. i have noticed that one earth wire on one connector from the engine is not connected to the corresponding plug to the ecu but connected to one of the two other ecu plugs. could this be ok? i personally thought that wires coming from one plug to the engine must all be connected to the corresponding plug to the ecu.
thank you for your input _________________ hopefully - no longer spanner at the ready (spanner mkononi)

Some of the wires end up being "dead ends" in the plugs.
I think it's easier/cheaper for the factory to fully wire some plugs
It may "double back" in the loom and is common with other earths.
I know for sure some of mine are :
eg 16 pin grey plug 13, 14, 15 & 16 are all common grounds _________________ The advice you receive on here is worth the paper it's written on.
