I bought an "Elovution Rage - Multipurpose S.A.W. (TM) blade" in B & Q last Sun. Approx £20 for yer hard earnt.
Bung it in a circular saw, chuck on some goggles, gloves and a long sleeved top (#1) and cut through 3mm MS plate. Job done
Will cut steel up to 6mm, cast iron, ally, copper, wood, MDF, blah, blah....
#1. It chucks out red hot chips which are sharp. I have a few burn marks on my arms & some cuts on my hand from the chips.
Beats using a cutting disk in a grinder. I don't know how long it will last though.

yes sounds a bit gash whats the blade look like ,, big teeth or small ,, i know when useing a sthill saw with metal cutting blades to cut up scrap vans , they tend not to last long ,, so what i use is a worn diamond blade , , remember safty and wear all relative P.P.E ,,, and extiguisher also the particles that fly off when cutting can be traveling at 80 meters a second that hurts then it burns you _________________ Auto Union Munga Jeep ,T4 2.4td , T4 2.5tdi ,Mercedes S Class on LPG , 66 splity deluxe , GP mk1, 3 type 25s 1 with 1.9dt pug engine + 1 with N/A pug engine ,,there are 6 t25s with pug power in Darlington
