havent got the time to work on it yet.
ive driven it about 3000 miles now and noticed a few things that need upgrading.
first the front brakes, the stock disk are too small now
the cv joints are now clicking
check and repack rear wheel bearings
accelerator cable and linkage
clearence trans mount for adaptor[it rubs]
make a rear engine support
speedo cable for vss
header tank mount
overflow mount
ive got an old thing so ill use its cvs and stub axles.
the disks ill upgrade to willwood i guess.
its been fun but now needs to be finished and upgraded.

last week i took out the hydrilik clutch and went back to cable
but i used this
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/search.php?submit=yes&type=text&keywords=soft+clutch
i have a kennedy 1700lb.it made the throw double and the effort
to push it 1/3 what it used to be.i love it.and it doesnt stress the gide tube anymore.i actualy made mine ,i didnt want to wait for shipping.
if you have a hard clutch try this.it worth it.i made and installed it in 2 hours.
i mounted my throttle cable bracket to the body above the trans too
now its smooth as silk
um,my water pump leaks sometimes.should i chance it to burningman?1400 miles?wait,i dont need an answer, ill just change it.

these are pictures of the header and tube routing.the heat works within 2 miles and the engine temp stabilizes within about 2 miles also.
this is working very well.

the brass barbed fitting plugs into a tube i welded to the original heater return. i also welded a new sensor plate to the crossover manifold.
the matrix is feed off the crossover at the original location.
i edited my second post on the first page to better asist people w/picts

See, scoobies are boring once they're sorted.
They start, go and stop when you want them too

Glad you're happy bud
