vibration

i have just comne back from devon and done about 1000mile round trip averaged about 40+ to the gallon so in many ways thing have gone well with the conversion.
BUT
when i first did the conversion i had a bad deep tone noise at high speed 70+ assumed it was vibration so went all round the engine found i had missed an engine bolt and some bolt got a bit of a tighten.
i ahve got back from my trip and the problem has returned, i have checked all of the engine bolts and every thing appears OK, nothing loose

any idears , could it be the flywheel loose? and ifso can it be check without taking the engine out?

please help

Hi , I've noticed a lot of resonance at this speed on some , sometimes its just down to the engine mounts . depending on gearbox ratios the noise starts about 68mph and disappears about 76mph , Oil filled mounts dampen the noise quite a lot

had the same on my tdi split swapped to oil filled hydro mounts and the noise dropped away on the motorway and was much smoother at idle

thank you that sounds like the way forward, i have never heard of hyrdo mounts ? where do i get them from and /or what car are they used on.
Thank you for the feedback. am loving the diesel torque and power. just did a 1000 mile round trip to devon and averaged 45mpg

mine came from a golf tdi but audi are favourites
