|
|
Following on from breaking my 1958 rag top scooby project, here is the chassis offered for sale
(please see my other adverts for the 58 golde rag top body, and the scooby engine with ecu, manifold and loom)
Ok so here we have a 1967 chassis, which has an IRS rear end.
Its fitted with a super solid 1600GT gearbox, and has a barley used heavy duty started motor fitted.
The chassis has new brake lines fitted through out, including new unions, braided flexis and dual master cylinder.
As the chassis was running a scooby engine, it also has fitted radiator coolant pipes and a fuel return for the injection. (both easily removed if not required.
Also fitted is an "indy H" shifter which I believe is a scat item?
The chassis is in great conditon, and is 100% rust free and solid. Due to sitting around for some years now, it will require a fresh lick of paint but that basically all youll need to do to it.
pan will come with 2 high back seats, as I have no use for these and they were in the car when I got it.
The IRS rear is a very neat instalation and is fitted with new boge shocks.
Up front there is a brand new Big Boys Toys beam. Its been used to make a few projects mobile in the workshop so the paint is a little scuffed, but again its a 100% solid new beam thats never seen the road.
Fitted are an old used pair of arms and drums to get the chassis rolling, but it is assumed you will probably ditch these and fit dropped spindles and disks anyway as I was going to do.
It will also require tie rods and the steering box is not fitted as I had not made up my mind if to have the car RHD or LHD
The pedal assembly is currently LHD, but as you probably know its a simple affair of drilling a hole on the right hand side and bolting the mastercyliner there. Then simply bolting a RHD pedal set to the rods and cables, and moving the cover plate to the other side and bolting it on. Shimples.....eek.
I do not have the V5, as i was going through the motions of applying for it when the 58 rag top body was on it. Obviously now im breaking Ive not persued this anyfurther. So you will need to apply for the log book, but again this is a simple procedure.
Also dont forget I can deliver, (dependant on mileage I will require reimbursement for diesel)
This chassis is ideal for anyone building a scooby bug or alternate engine car. Or if you simply want to be running IRS.
Price £600
