Due to the running costs (road tax included) I am trading my daily subaru outback for a doggy ol panel van. thing is insurace co`s have me bewildered..
ring subaru insurance (lv=) can i change vehicle regs to panel van yes no problem until it gets to alarm and imobilisor then oh sorry it has to have those fitted to the panel van!! i say it has a wheel clamp and a dog in the back and end the call..
next ring current t25(subaru`d) insurance (glynwoods) quote for panel van yes £250 comp and breakdown but can only post docs (im due to pick up van next day at this stage).
next ring just kampers quote panel van same as gynwoods but can email docs
so all good and i go for that..
now that doesnt seem too bad until today i receive my renewal for the subaru t25 £250!! same as a panel van with them?
should i be pleased that my converted t25 is £100 cheaper this year or pissed that my panel van is £150 more than i paid pre convertion
Madness i say!! do you think they made a mistake on the renewal?
what sort of fees are people paying? _________________ 1988 T25 EJ25 n/a.. it just makes more sense that way.. |

Scooby's do make your insurance go up.
If you'd have lobbed a VW motor in it hardly effects the premium
It hink you'll find they quote you for the doner Subaru, then apply discount as it's in a van.
VW engine's easy, you have a van with a modified VW engine
Scooby has a high group to start with.
Mine's about £100 more but worth every penny Save that in petrol a year compaired with a 2 litre mower lump _________________ The advice you receive on here is worth the paper it's written on.

yes totally agree with all the above..
just cant understand how my two t25s didnt differ in premium for the same cover (comp/breakdown full no claims etc) one with subaru value >5k? and one standard value <1k
still horses for courses only happens once a year.
all done til next now _________________ 1988 T25 EJ25 n/a.. it just makes more sense that way.. |

And cheaper for the motor. You're a winner all round. _________________ The advice you receive on here is worth the paper it's written on.
