Hey

found an adapter plate minus the flywheel and clutch kit...

how hard is it to modify a flywheel to suit Type 1 Box and EJ20 engine

or anyone stock them on the shelves?

thanks

I think it is the VW flywheel that gets used, it gets a new centre machined to bolt to the scooby crank and is welded in place.

Ask about for a decent engineers shop in your area. Anyone should be able to do it with the right equipment and balancing machines.

I hate to state the obvious but a type one gearbox (in standard form) are not the favourite choice for a Subaru conversion. Unless you have a light foot or restrict the throttle/potential of the engine.

Best of luck

got myself a rancho pro street box with HD side plates and race axles so should stand up to a bit of a beating - its just a stock EJ20 engine being strapped to it.
