Have you managed to find a pinout diagram for this model?, This is probably going to be your best bet if you decide to alter the loom yourself.
You can then trace the wiring back from the ECU plugs to the relevant engine components and elliminate them from the unidentified bundle of wires. Leaving the more trickier ones till last. Hope this is of some help, dont give up Wink

I've found online several wiring diagrams, but i don't think there correct, they show wiring for LHD & RHD, and cars with air con and automatics... so i'm confused..
I labeled the terminals which went to any engine componants, so do you recon if I were to cut any wires which aren't going to the engine componant terminals, it wont do the engine loom any harm? Or are they all linked up together?

Thanks, Graham

A lot of the earths (black wires) are integrated throughout the loom so avoid chopping them Wink . Make sure you retain all the large yellow , yellow/red wires which are associated with the fuel pump relays and engine service loom feed system. Do you know what spec car your stuff came from??. Most of the engine sensor wires, if i remember correctly are covered in a grey sheathing which trace back to the ECU plugs, so you'll need them too, will let you know if more springs to my alcohol riddled mind

The looms gradualy getting smaller..
Theres a few relays which i'm not quite sure of... Are there any major ones? (For ignition or anything along those lines??)
Thanks for the help.

Youll need the ignition and fuel pump relays which will be both connected to the yellow wires. There are also the relays which control the cooling fan/s but i am sure they are situated in the main fusebox panel which was under the car bonnet. You can worry about those later tho Wink
