Hello everyone, I am trying to put a Subaru conversion into a Bay window camper and was going ok, until now that is and I have to attempt the wiring I am now just going round in circles getting even more confused
I have a EJ22 engine and a wiring loom form a 1.8 and a ecu that looks different to others i have seen its a Hitachi, and I am in need of a pinout diagram and I cant seem to find one anywhere does anyone know where I can get one.

The second question is the crankshaft sensor that I have only has two wires coming from the loom and the Subaru garage keep trying to sell me one with a three wire connection, has anyone else come across this problem or found any solutions

Thanks in advance for any help/advice you may have
Gavin

EJ22 Engine (year?)
EJ18 Loom (year?)
What's the ECU from?

Being such a mismatch, did you hear it running before you bought it?

Sounds like a 'mare to me

I know EJ20s have a 2 pin Crank/Cam sensor, along with the few EJ22s I have seen.

Sure he wasn't trying to sell you an O2 sensor?

the engine is a 1994 (bought it ready for a conversion e.g adapter plate wiring loom etc, but when looked at the loom we realized it had been butchered) So I went to my local scrappys and got a wiring loom out of a 1.8 1995, we took the complete loom, inlet manifold and ecu (the sensor was missing though)
As for the Subaru garage we only have one near by and the guy was adamant and a bit of an arse

sounds like a nightmare mate, I've only done stuff with ej20's... but are the 1.8 and 2.2 looms even the same? if i were you I'd bite the bullit and get a loom and ecu that you know came out of a 2.2 of the same year(ish). youll be chasing your tale for ages otherwise...
