Who's project did I comment on how nice the header looked?
I can't find it now, grrrrr! _________________ The advice you receive on here is worth the paper it's written on.
Your experiences are worth shed loads to others, including the f'ups - live and learn.
Wouldn't YOU rather learn by someone else's mistakes? So would they.
'78 Bay, 2 litre 091 box, EJ20 NA & the ashtray's on the 'right' side.
I don't lean forward for hills any more

Found it, damn it it was a small car one and not equal length.
Umm I can see an evil bay purchase followed by a TIG coming up _________________ The advice you receive on here is worth the paper it's written on.

I cant wait to see some pics, i believe tig welders are pricey tho . I would like to do the same myself, just cutting and altering the existing scooby manifold to suit my bus was fun enough.
Its a shame the thermo housing and pipes are so close to the right hand head manifold or i would have adapted the pipework to exit straight out of the back of the bus instead of going forward to loop round and exit the back that way _________________ HMMM, dont know yet, but i'll have a go!!!!
I got myself the top one.
After 15 mins of welding (rear corner, was just like OA welding at night school) I wondered if I'd made the right choice. Should I spend the extra on full pulse?
Rang R-tech and spoke to Rob (very helpful chap) and asked if I could upgrade to the full pulse one.
Very amicable arrangement.
I'd thoroughly recommend these guys.
(No I haven't taken a bung)
They do sell "shop soiled" & "ex demo" on the evil one. But I'd ring them and ask what they have in stock.
I'd also recommend "Portamig" Mig welders too.
Anyone wanna buy a "BOC Transmig 110"? Lovely machine for bodywork - PM me.
It's such a shame I haven't taken photos of my resto! (NS: Front arch, b-post, sills, top hats, outriggers,JPs, rear arch & corner)
Paul_f will back me up on my welding of the rear corner.
TIG is awesome, no spatter, SFA grinding after, just do stitch back and polish - apply a smidgen of filler after
I seriously wish I'd bought one earlier. So do my neighbours _________________ The advice you receive on here is worth the paper it's written on.

I did the maths and it'll be cheaper than buying bends & welding them up.
It's not gonna be cheap but I've got a new toy too for roughly the same cost of a "custom" off the shelf jobbie. They're around the £650 mark.
Will be a "stock" back box from summat or other & maybe a Jetex centre box - I want a whisper
Call me a fool (or whatever) but I like doing "stuff" myself. Gotta learn new things to do.
Did think of using a T2 2 litre back box with "stubby pipes" _________________ The advice you receive on here is worth the paper it's written on.

Why do you want to "cut and shut it"? Or is the ground clearance too low?
Are you keeping the turbo in the same place?
I'm watching with interest :-)
Cheers Ian.

CnS because I want it to run under the g/box and down the LHS of the engine. Also it will probably foul my engine mount.
Turbo, what turbo? I'm a nat asp
And yes, I know I'm going to lose the "wooka wooka" but I read on NASOC that an equal length produces approx 7% increase in BHP on a 2.5 NA. This was a proper rolling road test.
My zorst has always been a "get me by" one. Lasted 3.5 years though! just about to put another back box on it for the time being _________________ The advice you receive on here is worth the paper it's written on.
