I may need some help with this one and hopefully it could be made a sticky.
I've photographed every heater pipe, vacumb and other pipes I dont know. The aim is to get a reference for people (and myself) to look at whom like me appear that after years of spending my youth at parties and not studying still can't remember sod all. So here goes
This pipe which is water related at the back by the bell housing near the starter motor next to the RJES reversed coolant manifold...
Goes to this part (but not the one I'm pointing at the next one to the left which is fingered in the next photo)?........

the pipe is pictures in the bottom right of this next slide....
This one which is featured on my RJES reversed throttle body (I'm open to being corrected on this one)
Goes here? to the throttle body....
The findex finger not the pinky
Right hand cylinder head breather....
left hand cylinder head breather
are both connected by this pipe
its using the two extreme connections furthest apart from each other which should have some rubber pipes with bends in them (Which i've currently lost). I'm not 100% sure on its orientation and the middle branch on this pipe I imagine goes up to the breather elbow coming off the turbo inlet. Probaly pictured here

Goes here under neath the throttle body on the inlet manifold

In this picture the breather pipe is connected to the block and also to the turbo air inlet elbow pipe
Turbo air inlet pipe elbow..
The crankcase breather is below my finger in the picture

Fuel hose connections this time.....
In...... its 8mm
Out..... its 8mm
Fuel tank breather..... think its 6mm..... this eventually connects to the carbon cannister and the purge control valve.

my party head braincells need stuff like this!
could you possibly do piccys where the vacuum pipes go to from the inlet manifold and turbo?
that would be nice

when i installed the manifold heater pipes on my 20t i bypassed the throttle body.
i also bypassed the recirc valve [which i removed and took waste gasses to oil catch can].
what im getting at is ..
why heat up your inlet manifold/incoming mixture with hot water !!.
surely the cooler the intake the more power available
why have a intercooler/chargecooler to reduce intake temp and then heat it up when it goes through the throttle body?
just a idea,perhaps im wrong but something to think about
stay cool |

Stop ice forming,
Even in summer it can happen over here. Google for Kawasaki carb icing, it can happen on FI systems as the TB can get cold. _________________ The advice you receive on here is worth the paper it's written on.
Your experiences are worth shed loads to others, including the f'ups - live and learn.
Wouldn't YOU rather learn by someone else's mistakes? So would they.

| Biggest risk if carb icing happens at 4 Celsius. That's the critical temp all pilots are worried about. |

I've been meaning to do everything on the engine only my typing is even slower then progress with my project and ran out of time the other night but its all on the cards.

We covered this the other week. Seems to be a funny argument in the subaru world. I game for having a go at it though. I'm not gong to cover it again but have a link to the thread on the worlds best forum.....

OK I'm going to try cover the vacumb hoses now.
Although I know this next slide is stated to be for a ej22t from my memoery it appears to be the same as a EJ20t and it could possibly cover a 1995 model so I throwing it in anyway. some may recognise this one
In the top left of the picture you can see items labelled; pressure exchange solinoid, pressure sensor and boost control solinoid.
These Items on the Subaru can be found bolted to the front suspension strut housing inside the engine bay on the drivers side of the car.
Looks like this on the Subaru:

So starting with where I'm confident I know where they go...
This pipe fingered here, I'm holding the other end to the pipe in my hand (pictured)
Goes here underneath the turbo on the waste gate actuator (its underneath the round part to the turbo)
This next one being fingered,
Goes to the Turbo also (I forgot to take a picture of the actual connection only the pipe and the plastic union it connects too :smt095 )
About half way up my finger is the plastic union connected to the the pipe leading to the input on the turbo.
You can see the pipe here coming out from underneath the airbox and follow it all the way to the turbo (it finishes almost where the turbo water pipe in blue starts)

Lets get started on todays class then.....
This next outlet is (according to the diagram) the pressure exchange Solinoid.
Its connected to the vacumb ports on the top of the throttle body.
Here...
The next one along to the right was connected to my pump valve.
