After such a long time i have managed to get the engine in and most thing sorted but the engine does not seem to want to idle. It seems very happy at high revs but after turning it on it will only idle for a few seconds and then cuts out.
Any ideas any one?? |

got a check engine light rigged up? if so it'll throw a code for the maf if theres a leak problem. _________________ '72 Ratty Bug - Subaru EJ20 Turbo motor. |

hi, thanks for the tips - i checked everything was done up tight and there must've been an air leak somewhere as now it seems to be running much better. still some tweaking to do to get it just right. i'll check the fault light next.
Fingers crossed for an MOT soon on it |

if you had an airleak it will throw a maf code - so dont replace the maf right away, just reset the ecu then check for codes after another test-run. _________________ '72 Ratty Bug - Subaru EJ20 Turbo motor. |
