so i was driving sixty and my cooling system stopped working..... i hosed out all the lines and put another pump in still nothing any help

er - could be anything.....
bit more info would help such as car/ engine/ set up of system / parts used etc etc

oh yeah geez sorry..well its a ej22 in a bug with the rad up front and i don't run a stat i switched out the water pump and it still is not pumping...

sounds exactly the same as mine was. it'll probably be an air lock, as theyre a real barsteward to blead. take off the hose that goes to the stat, shove a hosepipe up it til it gets to the radiator and flush the system through for about 5 minutes with the top off the reservoir.

how have you rigged up your heater pipes? they need to flow so if you havent got a heater just loop them, then stick the stat back in.

you cant run these engines without a thermostat
the computer uses the coolant temp to control the fuel mixture
with no stat and a huge cooling system like in abug it would never be getting up to temp

so the computer would be running a richer mixture most of the time
be like driving around with the choke on all day

my bet is heater loop not connected or air locks
