sooooo -whos going to vanfest.....
despite confidently predicting my van would be ready 3 years ago - i will be going without it in fact its now become a sort of anniversary of it not being ready.
So if anyones going - it would be good to hook up and see some of these fangled engine conversions in the flesh. we could even arrange to meet somewhere appropriate like RJES stall (if hes having one this year?)
ill prob only go on the sunday....but if anyones there post a pic of your van and ill look out for it and help you fend of those lawn mower critics |

| hope to there on sunday, taking the car as it's quicker and cheaper than the van, ( deepest cornwall is a long way at 20mpg) I would also appreciate having a look at any conversions with a view to deciding what to put in my van |

We looked at it and then looked at the prices and I thought F**k I could go away camping somewhere nice and do some mountain biking for the weekend and it would be a heck of a lot cheaper!!
I really like Vanfest but sitting around a campsite all weekend under the shadow of the Malverns which are difficult to ride during the busy season isn't my cup of tea.
Would rather go and camp somewhere like Cannock or even some of the Welsh routes and do something different rather than go back to the same old thing time and time again. |

If the old girl's up and running I'll be there.
Be cheaper to deliver RB's beer than post it |

Hmm mebbes I may go after all, would be good to see some other watercooled conversions and I'm thinking of fitting a new interior to mine so some plagiarising of other peoples good ideas may not go amiss.

richbaker78 - don't make me start a thread about english summers!
pepper - if you want a peek at an interior i've just remade mine based on the original moonraker using new mfc, i wouldn't recommend it!
seen a thread on jk about an interior made from marine ply with a poly-something laquer that looked great.... |
