HI. Does it matter what type of pipe I use for the vacume pipe conecting the servo? Does it have to be that stiff polyurathane tube or could I use a stiffish rubber hose?
Cheers

Ok my friend at the hose shop has given me some lovelly pipe to use for my servo but it is only rated upto 10 bar and I have noticed other specific servo vacume ube is rated at 15 bar. Do you think my 10bar hose will be OK?
Cheers

Errm I could be wrong here but if it's measured in bar that's for +ve pressure, ie blowing down it
When I did my servo pipe it was bloody expensive & came from a main dealer. It has a steel spiral in it. It stops it collapsing from the vacuum.

Hello there! I have finally stopped lurking!
If you wanted to make it cheaper you could use 15mm microbore tube. I orginally used this, but found it too hard to bend it neatly whilst under the bus! |
