well, i`m hoping the idle problem of stalling is resolved - i adjusted the idle valve and now its not stalling at junctions which is good :-).
the error 24 still appeared but it was when i droppped from 4th to 5th gear which i though was odd as the revs didn`t drop right down or anything like at stalling.
Apart from that, it drove fine The only thing is that it does seem slightly undergeared - its a diesel box (code ASS) fitted. I can live with it for the time being, but perhaps change it eventually (when time and funds permit!).
I`m still not sure that i`m getting the full rpm range and can`t really tell until i get a rev counter fitted, but i`ve got a couple coming from the US in the next week hopefully. They`re VW Jetta ones which have the same guage layout as the t25, but go to 7000rpm instead. They work for petrol engines so i hopefully should be able to fit them - other people have fitted them previously so should work.
Have you fitted a 2.1 inj fuel tank from a t25 as this has a wider pick up pipe? Ive seen this problem with gti coversions where people still use the smaller tank pick up,
i just used the original diesel tank. anway, a little update - i used and abused the van for a good few months over the summer - work, camping trips. the new engine really made it a joy to drive. i got my rev counter from smallcar in the US installed and i had the full rpm range - was quite fun redlining it a few times!
unfortunately, after moving, money was pretty tight on the ground - isn`t it for everyone? i sold the van in october to a very happy couple who i was glad it went to.
here`s a pic of the van before it went - looks pretty cool in my opinion :-)
cheers for all the help and advice i had doing this, mike

Bummer that you had to sell it :'(
I'm glad it went to a good home though _________________ The advice you receive on here is worth the paper it's written on.
