what engine fits my v6 essex adapter plate?

hello, i've got a ford v6 engine with adapter plate.
but i want to save the engine for another project.

for my baja project i want to fit a diesel but i dont know what ford motor will bolt upto the plate?

can anyone tell me what would go on.

only a 2.5 32.6 3.0 3.1 essex v6 or a 2.0 v4 ford transit mk1 or corsair motor im afraid

bolt pattern is the same for v4 , 2.3 -3.1 v6 engines essex and cologne
