Nice site indeed!!
Those gasless MIG welding pictures were quite recognisable.. _________________ homepage

I see you on there a bit! I'm a lurker at the moment but have ordered a Portamig 215, couple of weeks to wait! I also got hold of an Optrel Orion fully auto helmet which looks a very nice bit of kit. I reckon I'll have no excuses for much improved welding soon My main reason was to get a longer (euro) torch as dragging my old clarke around the car in a single garage will get very frustrating...

all sounds good ricola
weldequip is very good espcially with after sales advice. euro torch sounds good mine was retro fitted and gives a four meter torch, your'll love an auto helmet you won't unstand why you never got one before. portamig's are rated quite highly. _________________

I did actually have an auto-dimming helmet before which was a huge improvement on fixed shades, but my new one has auto-dimming and auto sets the shade according the the brightness of the arc so I can just forget about it, I think I was a bit cautious so never saw as well as I could have done with the old one.
As for Euro torch, I have been happy with my Clarke 150TE turbo but I guess the wire feed was never designed to push through 4m! _________________ http://www.ricola.co.uk |
