I've finally got my site update on line. There are lots of improvements and new produsts /info, including:

Many new products
About 40 pages of new information (now over 160 pages total!)
Much improved navigation

Please check it out:

Home page: http://www.rjes.com
What's new: http://www.rjes.com/html/news.html

Every page now has a link to this forum, so if you're a customer (or a potential customer), please use it to find other customers and discuss things. I intend to check it at least every couple of days to answer questions, etc.
At any time there is probably someone else doing a near identical conversion to you - you never know, they may be close to you who can help.

Thanks,

excellent updates Richard, I'm happy to see the wiring loom calculator, very handy. When I get to that stage in my project I'll be contacting you about the loom conversion and the trottle body reverser.

How well will the reverser work with the intercooler from a MY98 Impreza EJ20T? Should I just convert to chargecooler and bin the intercooler?

Hello Trev,
I'm still testing bits of the new version of the site after uploading it earlier today. Is the harness calculator actually working for you? It isn't for me at the moment. More work needed by the looks of things, but I'd be very interested to know whether you can see the table OK.

With a throttle body reverser, a standard intercooler would end up above the alternator. Bays and splittes would have enough room there, but getting is throygh your original 1998 (air to air) intercooler could be a ptoblem. A better bet would be to use the air to water intercooler from a 1990 - 1994 Legacy turbo.

yeah, the wiring table works nicely, it gave me a quote of £25 for converting the loom, including postage. Very reasonable if you ask me...

Wink

just kidding, it actually worked fine, I'm using IE7 on XP if that helps.
Good to know about the chargecooler. I have already cut a huge hole in the rear firewall and fit NACA ducts to the rear side windows to feed the intercooler. I was still worried about getting enough air to the intercooler and getting rid of the hot air.
Thinking about it, if I could conceivably get enough air through there I'd be able to seal the intercooler from the air intake to keep the waste heat from the intercooler away from the intake. I've already done the hard bit in cutting up the firewall.

Hello Trev,
I take it you have Microsoft Office installed - or specifically the 'Microsoft Office Web Components' plug in Internet Explorer, which installs by default with Office?

You need it to be able to interact with the harness price calculator. What I can't work out is why it no longer works for me on this computer - it was fine a few weeks ago. Thanks
