That's looking rather swish mate.
Seal the gap between the rad and the frame though to stop the air running through the hole. I used Aluminum foil tape
You might find one fan's not enough. I think Matt (Evercold's) running 2, his works a treat. Mine is much larger (nearly as big as the rad is wide) and is a blower but I get a lot of airflow stopped by having a front spoiler.
Some nice looking welds going on there too.
(I wish I'd kept my design that simple!) _________________ The advice you receive on here is worth the paper it's written on.

I think you are being a bit over cautious about the mesh, a much coarser one would do the job and be much better for air flow, especially slung under a bus where air flow isn't going to be great to start with _________________ http://www.ricola.co.uk |

got the mesh off a mate who does soundproofing on industrial machines he said it looks corse but is designed to have maximum airflow so will give it a wirl and see what happens _________________ Sutton in Ashfield .Nottinghamshire

If the mesh is reducing the air flow you could try to move the mesh a couple of centimeters into the scoop. Then you'll have a "lip" that forces the air through the mesh instead of flowing around. All bonnet scoops works the same way.
It's the same principle when you poor water on a strainer. When pooring water on the "outside" (i.e. holding it upside down) some will go through but most of it will drain. But if the water is poored into the strainer it's forced to come through even with low flow. |

Lowlight,
Just one thing, are you cutting down the slight lip on the chassis rail or don't you have one?

Do you happen to have any dimension drawings of the chassis rails? I have a cunning plan but can't find mine, grrrr! _________________ The advice you receive on here is worth the paper it's written on.

My rad's in the way for me to do it really! I want to make a wooden mock up.
Urmmm....
Distance between chassis rail outers at front crossmember (jacking point)
Distance from front cross member to where the rails widen
Distance between chassis rails at the rear cross member (Jacking point)
Distance between front and rear crossmembers (inside faces)
Much appreciated mate. _________________ The advice you receive on here is worth the paper it's written on.
