I'm half way through a 2.0 turbo conversion on a race car and i'm trying to tidy up some of the pipes and i've got a couple of questons.
Do you have to use the header tank on the engine for the water suply to the turbo or can you just bypass it and put a water pipe straight to the turbo?
The electronic thing next to the trottle on the manifold can you cap the big pipe that comes out of the bottom of it?
any help is greatly appreciated

Watcha,
Wanna give us a clue what engine you're talking about please? _________________ The advice you receive on here is worth the paper it's written on.

I'd be templed to leave the header tank as Subaru intended unless something immovable is in the way on your project. There is a lot of plumbing attached to it on a turbo, and it's about as compact as possible (and well proven) as standard.
There is no advantage to blocking the idle speed control air pipe on a turbo which uses the Subaru ECU. Doung so may save making one pipe, but you'll pay for it with a rubbish idle. If you have decided to go for an aftermarket ECU which doesn't have idle speed control, then you could get rid of the valve itself too if you can find a suitable way to blank the flange on the mainifold.
Hope that helps... _________________ Regards,

u can disconect the water cooling feature ,can heat the cooling circuit in some applications (mitsubishi evo rally cars).
Is used to increase the bearing life in the turbo ,provided u let the car cooldown after a run u will be fine or use a turbo timer |
