dont always throw a fault because the maf is first source of air info for the ecu, the ecu adapts to info the maf sends

Yes wiring was incorrect. Needed to be blue to lights and blue black to ignition live from the reverse light switch.

I haven't checked gearbox level since it was done as problem has been solved. Was just upto filler when done.

Glad you are getting sorted. Have you wired up your reverse lights to the wiring on the gearbox ? Can't seem to get mine working.
