how about removeing the cross member that the bellhousing mounts to then mounting a tube say 1.5" x 1.5" from the lugs on top of the box across the engine bay and sitting on pug mountings wi ...

i dont know if the box on the 2.1 is the same as the 1.9 so this may not aply but the 1.9 pug was not the strongest box around and have been known to spit there difs out .
recon you would be beter ...

The splines are exactly 14.85mm in diameter so I'd say 15mm clearence hole is required
