I do have a spigot bearing that holds the shaft in the engine so to speak.

Yes, that's the other kit option rather than using an extended input shaft Wink

No idea what kit that one is.
Starter motor would stay on your VW gearbox but I'm not sure about using the standard input shaft Can't see how it would still be long enough to fit into the cr ...

Inlet manifold might make it a bit to high to fit in a standard engine bay but I'm sure that can be modified. Biggest problem is dizzy, thermostat etc being tank side and impossible to get at. I'm sur ...
