|
|
Anyone who has fitted one of my bell housings, how did you find the instructions CD? I have never had much feedback about the instructions until today, and it's made me realise thet I ought to know more about what people think. Any feedback would be appreciated, positive or negative. Things like:
too basic, about right, confusing?
not detailed enough, about right, too detailed?
Thanks, _________________ Regards,

Hey, Richard, I've been working with the nice combo monkey brain customers and documentation. If you like I can have a look at it. |

I got a bit confused as to how to assemble the release bearing IIRC (it was a long time ago)
You may well have changed your instructions since.
How about concidering doing a short video of the assembly procedure?
PM/Phone me if you've used Catia, ProE etc and can output as native, 3D IGES, shrinkwrap etc _________________ The advice you receive on here is worth the paper it's written on.
Your experiences are worth shed loads to others, including the f'ups - live and learn.
Wouldn't YOU rather learn by someone else's mistakes? So would they.

Feedback from a customer who called in today was that it ought to be more obvious that the bell housing includes an input shaft seal, as he nearly bought a new VW one without realising he wouldn't need it. Other than that he seemed happy with the instructions, but did have one very good suggestion - include an exploded diagram. I'll look in to that
Sven, the instructions are on a CD as they include a lot of high resolution photo's.
Somehting I would like to do is convert them to a pdf file instead of of autorun html. However I don't think I wouldn't be able to include links to the photo's with the software I have. I'll have to experiment with .doc files printed to pdf. _________________ Regards,
