Long overdue update to rjes.com now on line!

I've never even seen firefox, so I can't comment really, but I have recently installed Internet Explorer 7, and I'm quite impressed so far. I believe one of Firefox's advantagesover IE was tabbed browsing, but that seems pretty food in IE7 to me. I'm not sure why people switch to Firefox when they probably orignally had IE installed as part of Windows (assuming they're not on Mac / Unix)?

I have now loaded my site into version 10 of the software I create it in, the first thing it said was that the output html didn't comply with latest standards, and did I want to convert it (yes). The next update will be pretty minor, and soon, so hopefully it'll be more Firefox compatible once that's on line.

Firefox was far better than IE.
Microsoft than copied FF. There was a spoof page on the net saying "MS Firefox" when IE7 was launched

Back in the "olden days" we used to use Netscape at work along with IE. The majority of people preferred using Netscape

Firefox is still superior, to begin with FF is complying to the W3C-standards. MS always add their own funny things.
I also have "customized" all my Firefox with a bunch of addons (not possible with MS). Firefox rules! Happy

I used to use Netscape years ago too - about 10 years ago. I think I installed it because their e-mail application was better (but can't remember why it was better), and did end up using the browser too. I upgraded to a newer version which had a couple of features which I thought were a backward step, and very annoying, so I switched back to Internet Explorer, and Outlook, and have used them ever since. Yes, I still store all my mail on my PC while almost everyone else seems to use web mail these days!

Ummm, Firefox is the Darkside Wink

As Sven said FF conforms to HTML standards, microsoft make^H^H^H^H bodge it up as they go along
I have heard a few businesses (travel sites etc) have lost out on trade as their sites don't work too well with FF users.
