Hi Rich,
After seeing this conversion i took the plunge and followed your lead. Just put the kit onto my T4 and couldnt believe how easy and straight forward it was.
Have done a couple of runs now from Newquay to Portsmouth and back (my commute to work) with out a fault and worked out the return journey has probably cost me a total, in fuel, of 70p ha ha.
How is your WVO filtration set up going? Mine uses a 100 litre barrel which i pour the settled WVO into. helps keep the water out letting it settle.
Hope yours is going well, and thanks for the heads up dude, your saving me a fortune |

ive done 11000 miles since i converted in january and have saved a fortune!! my filtration set up involves strinaing throuhg some jeans into a barrel and then i pump it into my van. Its effective but I intend to improve it in the near future so my pump is permanantly primed.
Glad you found the above useful mate! |

I pass the oil through cloth into a 100 litre barrel that is placed on blocks above a domestic water pump.
The oil then passess through a 10 micron and 1 micron filter resulting in oil that is good enough to go back on the shelf.
Having the barrel above the pump saves me having to prime the pump all the time. I have a stop valve between the barrel and pump for servicing.
Must admit it has made me contemplate putting a t4 2.5tdi in my bay, but love the sound of a flat 4 (subaru/VW)!!!!
