Bought a 74 split this March without gearbox/engine and with botched up welded "horns". Thinking of water cooled with auto box. Any advice on the easiest route to take would be great.
Thanks. I am in Suffolk and would love to have a look at a conversion. |

Hey, welcome to the forum.
First, you have to make a choice on what kind of engine you want. Do you want petrol or Diesel? do you want speed or reliability and low mpg?
Based on these choices, you should decide what engine suits you best.
Most common are a subaru boxer engine if you want to go petrol and a VW TDI if you want a diesel.
Let us know what you are looking for. _________________ 1973 BayWindow running 1.9 110 bhp TDI with flipped gearbox. |
